balloon framing

Is anybody modeling walls as balloon framed walls? If you have walls on top of each other you get the line. We have been attaching our bottom of second to top of first and it works good bringing the walls over the floor, but you get that line. If we balloon framing than you don't what has everyone else been doing?

I balloon frame whenever i can. If i split the wall into two, i do the same
thing you do (bottom of upper wall starts at lower plate).

The "line" goes away if you join geometry.

I do balloon just because it is fewer walls to manage and the join geometry
will then give me platform framing. However if you want to make it as it is
built - you can do that as well. Use join geometry on the two walls to
eliminate the line...
