Where would I find an explanation of the Autodesk shared material folders and how Revit uses each of these folders?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\1\Mats
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\2\Mats
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\3\Mats
They appear to be Low (1), Medium (2), and High (3) resolutions of (mostly) the same images.
Thank you,
Scott Durkee
I accidently deleted them and and now I can't make renders in Revit. I reinstalled the program but this doesnt seem to fix those folders. Please someone tell me how to restore them.
I'm hoping someone can answer this, preferably Autodesk themselves. I agree with the OP. I believe our question is, why would anyone ever use a lower resolution image file when the purpose of the image files is to create renderings and we would want those renderings to look as good as possible.
Do some of the default materials use the 1 or 2 resolution level images by default? If so, why??
