I agree. Reformat your computer and see if you get the same error messages.
If so then it's probably a hardware issue. Did you do a search on the
microsoft page for that stop error? It sometimes gives you an idea of the
problem. Last time I got stop error messages, it was b/c of my network
card, but yours seems to be software related, which you can fix by
reformating.
1 gb of ram will not cause you to get stop errors. However, you should
stick another gb in there. It will help running Revit.

Windows XP Proffessional. its a fairly new computer (HP actually) with a
2.8 gb processor. i only have 1 gb of RAM though, which is the minimum for
Revit, but could that be a problem? I redownloaded and installed it again
and it worked. However, after i closed it and opened it again, it went
straight to the blue screen and restarted. It now does this everytime I
open it. the blue screen says a problem has been detected and it says
(STOP: 0x0000008E and win32k.sys). I updated some drivers and that didn't
help. I also run AutoCAD 2005, ArchiCAD 10, and Rhino with no problems.
Anyone got any more ideas about what is causing this error?
