Am I missing something?

In materials, where are all the patterns for surfaces? I only have like 10 extremely basic choices, not even a single brick pattern.

Also, is there a pattern or material out there for spanish tile roofs?

Are those just the Drafting patterns? There should be a "Model" radio button at the bottom of the dialog. There should be a few brick patterns in the model section.

Fill patterns are somewhat limited. Hopefully they will be better in the next release.

Okay, so I was missing them.
I'm hoping that since revit is autodesk, I could copy autocad patterns into revit? if so.. where do they go?

if you insert a DWG with a hatch pattern into Revit, the hatch becomes a
Filled Region pattern. Put them in your template to have available to new
projects.

You can also add the text to the revit.pat file, located typically in
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Building 9.1\Data

Read the intro in the Revit.pat file carefully....you must make some changes
to autocad hatch patterns to make them either drafting of model patterns in
Revit.
