After Linking in a Civil 3D DWG my zoom extents makes view very small, Why?

I am linking in a civil 3D DWG file.  Once it is linked in using Auto - center to center all looks good.  BUT as soon as I type ZA or ZE my view gets so small I can see it.  I have to do a crossing window to locate the area for the building and then scroll into that area.  What would cause the view to zoom out that much?  Is there something I am missing in the DWG file prior to linking?

Thanks for the help.

Open the civil dwg in civil or autocad and make sure all the layers are turned on and visible. Look to see if you can find an object, line, etc. far away from the actual center of the dwg. If you find it, delete it (assuming you can), re-load into Revit and now ZA, ZE. What happens?

If this does not work, make sure you don't have an object in your Revit model that's a long way for the origin point.
