ADT is the future in a way

until the debt is paid down
a little- (and that could take
several years)- there won't
be any real construction
projects.. and that's also
how much time they need
to learn BIM and revit- (don't
kid yourself that they know
it already)..

so for who knows how long-
there will only be small projects
and rehabs- perfectly suited
to ADT and the old DBB..

true revit can produce
construction documents faster-
but that's not the point..

Matt Dillon was right about
ADT continuing to be important..

Tom makes good sense:

"Don't put to much into the software someone uses.
I know an architect that draws multi-million dollar
homes on paper..."

revit- AutoCAD or paper for somebody's house..

Links back up what you are saying. If you are wondering what a link is.
It would be a website address or source
containing the original quote from your
posted quote. We like to read original quotes
in full, from the owner of the quote. It puts
it in context.

Gary R. Herbert is a person. Not a link.

He could also be Herman Snottheimer the Third.

Don't mean nuffin.

So... you still don't know what a link is.

Forget it Son.
You clearly don't have a clue what a link is.

That's fine. Please try not to quote people anymore. It does no good to post
quotes without original source material. Stick to your schtick...it's at
least amusing if not misguided.

"Please ask your question again and include more information in it."

sorry Logan- got no link- but i got a piece of paper from Gary Herbert.

i'll show it to you but you have to decide if you think it's fake..

It's got nothing to do with it's fake or not. When you put quotes around
something that leads the reader to believe you're quoting a source. As I
mentioned we like reading from the source.

As for asking my question again. If you can't go up there a couple of posts
and find the original question about the quote your worse of than I thought.
Help yourself.

"Like the nation, Utah’s
economy contracted during 2009."

"The housing collapse combined with
businesses' reluctance to invest in new
facilities resulted in construction
employment declining 22.6%, after a
decline of 12.5% in 2008."

what they are talking about with the
housing collapse is the market value
of real estate crashing.. yes that is
important to people in the business
of building new homes because
people will buy the cheaper- already
built homes- and not the new ones..
but there is a big exception to that-
high end residential..

like i said- this is going to be the only
game in any town for a long while because
of so much debt that must be repaid..

but the rich baby boomers who created all this
digital crap are building their dream homes
finally..

and like Tom said- "Don't put to much into
the software someone uses. I know an
architect that draws multi-million dollar
homes on paper."

do you really design these sheds? I hope people do not pay you for the
designs! There is a reason why main stream architects do not design normal
homes. There is no money in homes. You can design a little $200,000 house in
no time, but then the owner is always making changes or wants something
else. Before you know it the whole budget is gone and you are in the red.
Yes high end mutli million dollar homes architects will go for. Because you
can make a profit on them, normally. Also in most states you do not need to
be a registered architect to design a home as long as it is not a multi
family aka apartment/condo. Firms that designed homes like yours are now
mostly out of business because there is no market for housing right now. It
all went away in 2008-2009, don't you watch the news? house and the private
sector are dried up. Loans are hard to come by for small companies. The only
people still wanting buildings are large companies that can flip the coin
and government projects. You quote your stats from Utah, but if you look at
the housing in California, Nevada, Florida they all fell off the carts and
the price of home dropped almost in half. But then you look in the Midwest
and the price of homes stayed stead, but new homes growth stopped. Step
outside the box and look at the whole country not just Utah.

this example is about as close as i
can get to the kind of residential i'm
talking about.. they don't want five
million dollar houses..

also the style of most of the houses
i'm talking about are for the western
half of the US where i live..

and no i don't design these houses-
i only build and sell them.. the artists
who work for me design them..

You were impressed at the animated walkthrough or the architecture? They are more than just a little bit difference?
