Additional material files

In order to accurately render my drawings I am in need of additional material images not found in the Revit files, i.e. granite surfaces in multi colors, wood species in multilple stain colors. How does one add more files and what type files?

Make a new named Revit material, then pick the closest Material template
(using the Replace button) to what materail you need. Then once in that
Material Template, browse to find a new image to use (could be from a
digital camera, website, photoshop, etc.) and make changes as necessary to
the other material settings.
