Additional files...

Hi all...

Simple question. What are all of the ".000X" (i.e. Somefile.0001.rvt,
somefile.0002.rvt) files that are created after saving a revit project?

Thanks!

Those are the back up files. If for some reason you want to go back to an
earlier version, ie: you really did not want to move that wall and there are
too many steps after the move to do "undo's" 50 or 60 times... you can
take one of those .000x.rvt files and either rename it to an new version of
drawing, or open it and saveas over the incorrect version.
