I want to be able to add rooms through the schedule prior to placing them in the model. I thought I would be able to do that by going to the Modify Schedule/ Quanties Tab and clicking New in the Rows columns but the new option is blanked out and not selectable. Any idea why that would be the case?
Make sure the cursor and Revit's focus is within the schedule view itself not the Project Browser. The ribbon should "wake up" and offer the button. If not try closing and opening the schedule view again. Also if you are looking at the schedule from a sheet view you'll have to open the schedule view to edit it. You can right click on the schedule and choose Edit Schedule.
