Addeundums & Design Options

What is the best practice for making Addendum's and duplicate views? For just duplicating floor plans for plans like "Life Safety" or "Card Access Plans", we just duplicate the original floor plan. But for Addendum's what is the best way to work around this.

-Creating a Callout Floor Plan and hiding the annotation in the floor plan?
-Duplicate with detailing? This doesn't seem to catch all the details, is there a particular order that should be followed when doing this.
-We do not want to print PDF's and watermark or otherwise add the 8.5x11 TTLBLK

For design options. We have created one Design Set with 3 different Designs within. We found out that the best, well only way to do this, is to make sure that anything that is consistent between all designs stays within the main model, but this is not always easy. Sometimes it is beneficial for us to have the designs in groups (currently working on Res Hall for a school). We create the groups first then add them to the design option. Is there a better practice for this?

Thanks all and if you would like to look at the model feel free to ask.

Thanks,

Hi Kenton,

Our firm is going through the same questions.

I tried call outs, but don't like that, because you have to cut and paste all the original info from

the plan.

I am currently 'duplicating with detailing'.  I like this method much better.

Let me know how you are progressing.

take care,
