Adaptive Points Orientation

Hi,

I tried to understand the different options of orientation of Adaptive Points.

The options

- Host xyz

- Host and Loop System

- Global xyz

- Global z then Host xy

work as expected.

But

- Instance z then Host xy

does not produce any difference to Host xyz

and

- Instance xyz

stays unclear to me at all

( see attached image: orientation of the AdaptivePoints turn if they are drawn in opposite sequence)

Could someone explain the "Instance" options in more detail?

The help says: "Instance: The coordinate system of the adaptive family instance."

Thanks,

Torsten

Have you looked at this blog post (while they are working with Vasari, behavior in Revit seems to be comparable for this area):

That ain’t normal! Diagnosing point behavior
