8870 or gt740

Hey guys, i'm a student of architecture. I'm looking at a laptop for run to these programs: 3dsmax,revit,photoshop and autocad. There are two options in my hand.

1.SAMSUNG i7-3635qm-2.40GHz Intel Core Processor 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD RADEON HD 8870M 2GB DDR5 15.6 "(1920*1080)

2.TOSHIBA i7-4700mq New Generation Intel Core Processor 2.4GHz 8GB RAM 1TB HDD 2GB DDR3 GT740M 17.3 "(1600*900)

I have questions. Which one is better? What is the difference between ati and nvidia for these programs. I think 8870 better than 740gt but i don't know much.Which laptop should i buy? Please explain me, thank you.

First look at the Processor.

The 4700 is better than the 3XXX and it is newer processor too. I am just comparing raw CPU numbers from PAssmark.

The graphic processor is better for the radeon.

The Screen for the toshiba is not HD , I would prefer the 1080P on the samsung.

Have you looked at the Lenovo Y50's they offer SLI as well with newer processors. and beter screen and graphics.
