Revit | Trombe Wall

Hello,

I would like to study the efficiency of a vented and a non-vented Trombe Wall in Revit. Is there any way to draw a thermal storage wall in this software or anywhere to find a family file for revit?

I have tried to design a wall with an exterior glazing curtain wall, 20cm air and a thermal mass wall with black paint and jet diffuser systemair jsr series 8 with various setting at the mechanical flow and run the analysis at spaces detailed model, without building constructions and untick the box of export default values, but there is no change at the results (the same results with or without the glazing curtain wall and the jet diffuser).

Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance.

Reply form Marjorie Stein (mstein7484) and Mohammad Rahmnai Asl (mra1242):

Unfortunately you cannot currently model the effects of a trombe wall directly in Revit. There is a workaround, but it requires knowledge of using eQUEST. If you, or someone on your team, is familiar with eQUEST you would need run the energy analysis, open your results in Green Building Studio (go to Revit Results & Compare window>Results tab, select your analysis run, and click on "Open" In Green Building Studio), open the project, click on the first run, go to Downloads tab, and save off the DOE-2 file. By opening this file in eQUEST you can then edit your model and analyze the trombe wall effects.

Many thanks to Marjorie and Mohammad for the detailed explanation.
