This topic was posted years ago by another user but the replies do not solve the issue. I dont understand the replies at all.
Not even sure how to get to "workset".
I've tried to adjust the "phase " options as well but nothing seems to work.
I do see the linked model in 3d view but not in plan view.
- Revit Links may be turned off for that view
- The link file may be inserted in a workset that is turned off for that view
- Structural categories may be turned off for that view
- The link and the host phases may not be mapped properly (go to the 3d view where you see the link, select it and edit type, then check phase mapping)
Hi ToanDN, Thanks for you replying
I seem to have accidentally accepted the solution when I was trying to reply back to you.
In answer to your response, revit links are turned on for the views so this seems to not be the issue.
As far as workset, how do I get to workset to turn on? Where do I find it?
Also you say "the link and the host phases may not be mapped properly (go to the 3d view where you see the link, select it and edit type, then check phase mapping"
Not sure what I am looking for under phase mapping. what do I change?
Thanks for your help.
I'm still not able to show a linked model in one of may plan views.
It seems the linked view shows up the 1st floor plans, the Elevations and the 3d view, but not the 2nd floor plan level, and ceiling plans.
Any ideas?
Not sure what I'm supposed to change on the worksets but that does not seem to be the issue.
The linked models is also set so that the views are turned on in the visibility graphics.
Can you share a file?
Go to one of the views that is working. Make a view template that controls everything but the view range. Apply the view template (or just the properties if you prefer) to the view that is not working (or a newly created one), and adjust the view range appropriately.
That should work.
