Joining two extrusions

How would I go about joining the two coping stone extrusions?

What happens when you extend both of them to intersect each other? Extend past each other then use a void to Cut Geometry?

You could make a Family as a cap to fill in the space as another option.

You should use a Sweep instead of an Extrusion. (Use 3D to pick edge as a path ... model a generic profile in a family and load it)

Alternatively, you can use a Roof Fascia
