Hi-

How are you deleting the shared parameter?

On the manage tab, does the project parameter still exist?

Can you provide a few details of your workflow and a screenshot.  This will help to better understand the issue.

Thank you.

hello,

I removed the parameter in the projectparameter menu.

the error is easily reproduced as followed:

1) create new project (with standard template).

2) add a shared parameter.

2) make project workshared.

3) create 5 walls and two rooms.

4) array this 200 times.

5) maybe synchonise.

6) remove parameter in the projectparameter menu.

7) parameter stays in project as read only.

kind regards,

Thank you for the steps.

This seems to be happening when the shared parameter is added with the option:

"Values can vary by group instance"

Can you verify this option is being used in your case?

Here are simpler steps to reproduce the issue:

This behavior does not happen if "Values are aligned per group type"

  • New Model|Any Template
  • Create walls and room
  • Group Walls and Room
  • Add Shared parameter to Rooms Category
    • Select "Values can vary by group instance"
  • Tab to select Room object and add value to the parameter just added.
  • Remove Project Parameter
  • Now Tab Select Room Object.  Parameter exists and is disabled.

*Note parameter still exists on Room object but is disabled.

Un-grouping Does not remove parameter.

Hi, Thank you for verifying.  I'm investigating this issue with the development team and will reply shortly.

In your screenshot, the Snoop tool indicates the parameter ID for ZoneName is 308964

Test this in a copy of your project:

If you delete this ID (Manage|Select By ID) the parameter should go away in the UI.

Also, for reference, This post talks about shared parameters ID's.
