Hi, I am a student at University, and for my Dissertation, I am trying to create a peice of software that will combine the Oculus Rift, with a Revit designed Building.
The plan is to allow the wearer, of the Oculus Rift to look around the building, in any direction.
Is this something that the Revit API will allow me to do?
If not, any suggestions??
Thanks
Joe Malloy
Dear Joe,
Happy New Year to you!
The Revit API currently does not provide programmatic support for walkthroughs, afaik.
Therefore, I would suggest that you use Revit as an authoring tool and its API to export the model to some other framework supporting walkthroughs, e.g. the Autodesk View and Data API:

It translates the RVT model to a WebGL JSON format.
Public domain walkthrough viewers have already been implemented for it, e.g. using Google cardboard:
Cheers,
Jeremy
