Parts canfaceoffset

After splitting a part, the canfaceoffset() returns false on the faces where the split occured. However, through the UI, when 'show shape handles' is checked those faces can be offsetted. I am wondering if this is the expected API behavior. If so is there a workaround within the API?

Thank you,

Nelson

Dear Nelson,

Thank you for your query.

What version of Revit are you observing this in, please?

I see an issue in the database that looks similar to your report: REVIT-6944 [Parts offset from API return False where should return True].

It was submitted in April 2013 and is marked as resolved and submitted, son I would expect it not to happen any longer in Revit 2015.

Can you please try that out?

Thank you!

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jeremy

I was working on the 2014 platform. I tested it in 2015 and everything seems to be working.

Thank you for the quick reply,

Nelson
