Open Family Document for editing.

Hello!

We have a little popup window that collects all invalid (by our terms) family instances into a ListBox. We can easily get reference to these families just by clicking on each row of this ListBox. Now we'd like to open the selected family in Family Document view but apparently Autodesk wizards have not invented this kind of blood magic yet. What's up with that?

Is it really true that Revit API gives the add-in developers no tools to open an Edit Family view/document/window? This seems like a very basic (and vital) functionality that already exists in Revit itself however developers are not allowed to use it. Anyone care to elaborate on the reasons this functionality is not included in API?

Apparently only solution we were able to find was to save FamilyDocument into file and then open it with OpenAndActivateDocument() method. Which is kinda redundant but hey whatever... at least it works.
