Not getting proper Selection Elements with dockable dialogs with Revit 2015.

Dear All Members,

There is some strenge behaviour with selection element set.

Test Case :

i) Select some elements in revit document.

ii) Press Esc or Right Click->Cancel.

iii) Click on Dockable dialog. (Other than BuiltInDockablePanes like ProjectBrowser, etc.)

iv) Again click anywhere inside revit document.

v) Now you will get Selection set back.

Now the question is that, is this normal behaviour or is this same what i m thinking?

Any suggestions Appreciable.

Regards,

Nitin J.

This behaviour is apparently intentional and correct. This also came up in a thread quite recently. read more about it here: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api/click-on-dock-pane-deselects-elements/m-p/5279637

Thank you Scott for pointing to that!

In addition, there may be some improvements in UR4, Autodesk Revit 2015 Update Release 4, Sep 21, 2014:

  •        Improves reliability of retrieving the current selection in an API Dockable Pane.*
  •        Improves stability when the Pick Points API was invoked from within a Dockable Frame.*

For more information, please take a look at the list of enhancements in Enhancements_List_RVT_2015_UR4.docx:

Cheers,

Jeremy
