Finding the railing host

Hello!

On my Revit project, I need to analise lots of stairs.

But, using the Revit LookUp, when I select one railing, I can`t identify the stair that is the host of this railing.

Or, on the other way, when I select one stair, I can`t identify the railings that are connected with that stair.

What can I do to recognize these on my code?

Thanks!

I am not sure that my method could suit you. I don't use Revit LookUp.

I use Railing Tags based on Mark not on Type Mark and the control is made using Railing Schedule:

  1. first I tag all the railings , but I apply a new family tag based on Label Mark instead of Type Mark so that each railing has its own name - Image 01
  2. then I make a Railing Schedule that Contains the field Mark - Image 02
  3. In schedule , selecting a line from the table will highlight the railing on model...so , I can have control where the railing is placed in a View...

Hello, Railing.HostId() method returns the stair, the host of the railing. Note: Not all the methods and properties are shown in the RevitLookup. For full methods and properties, please refer to the RevitAPI.chm file in the Revit SDK.
