Crazy? Or Possible?

Hey Guys,

I had an idea, and wanted to throw this out there to see if it is even possible.

I need to convert a bunch of DWG's to Revit going through Inventor to use the "Shrinkwrap" feature.  I was thinking I could write a windows macro to automate this process.  Is that possible?

Hi,

Not sure if this will be possible through macros.

You can automate AutoCAD and Inventor using COM APIs, from .NET (VB.NET/C#), but Revit will not accept that. So one alternative can be: from Revit in-process API, call AutoCAD and Inventor COM out-of-process APIs.
