Check if element is profiled or rectangular

Hello!

Is it possible to determine is RevitElement rectangular or profiled?

I use this categories for columns and beams:
Column:

OST_Columns
OST_StructuralColumns
OST_VerticalBracing

Beam:

OST_StructuralFraming
OST_Truss
OST_StructuralTruss
OST_HorizontalBracing
OST_Purlin
OST_Joist
OST_Girder
OST_StructuralFramingOther
OST_Cornices
OST_EdgeSlab

I'm thinking of dividing each group into two (profiled, rectangular). Is this right, or it's possible that element from single category can be both rectangilar and profiled? If it's possible to divide please tell me which ones are profiled and which rectangular. If not, maybe there is another way to do this?

I think it depends on how these elements are made. If the are extrusing, you can try to see i an element has 4 faces (being retangular), But if they are made of sweeps, then I don't see a quick fix since a sweep is made of a path and a profile and this profile can be anything.
