Graphical column schedule

We would like to use the revit graphical column schedule, but find that the way it denotes each column (by giving a grid location, rather than say a “mark”) is too hard to follow. A lot of the times columns are off grids so we are getting text such as “A(-550)-8(-5300)” If we could change this row in the schedule to read from the column mark the schedule would be easier to follow, as we would see column 1, 2, 3 etc. Is this possible currently, or will it be improved in future release? Thanks

There is a way to have the graphical column schedule display the Mark of a column. This requires creating some Shared Paramters and Project parameters, creating some custom tags that you will use the tag the column in the column schedule and then making the data from column grid as small as you can make it. You cannot turn it off, but you can make it VERY small so it will only look like some background noise from the plotter.
