Hi all,

A recent change  on the Fusion360 product affects the way ReMake models can be consumed in Fusion.

With that change, Fusion360 by default converts automatically ANY mesh type into triangles at import, making the quad meshes exported from reMake not convert-able to T-splines.

To solve this issue, and have  the usual and correct behavior to import the QUADS as quads, in Fusion360, go to your Profile, Preferences, Mesh tab and on top of the page, uncheck the Box "Triangulate Mesh polygons”that is checked as default

This will solve the issue.

Hi!

You will probably need to post the question on the Fusion360 forum https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360/ct-p/1234 and have the Fusion product team explain the reason for changing that setting as we don't really know.

i would guess it might be because triangular meshes make fthe most use cases/workflows when users import meshes in Fusion ( and there are many different sources and reasons for that -  importing scanned/captured meshes its a small portion of mesh import workflows)

Btw, its a single check change, you dont have to do it each time...

hope this helps
