Selection Clipping on Locked Regions?

Why does Selection Clipping don't take into account Region Locking?

I have a project in which I have several locked regions and then want to edit one region only. I unlock this region and try a Clip Inside on a subselection of points within this region and I get this:

Original Combined Regions with only one region Unlocked (green points):

Subselection of points from this region by a Window selection:

Result after a Clip Inside, also points from LOCKED REGIONS are removed??

Is this a defect?

Best,

John

I am finding similar issues.  Locked regions are not acting locked.  And points that fall withing the selection box, but are hidden and in locked regions are also being reassigned to the new region.

Along with this I have found that while using the delete button it will delete all points that fall within the selection even if they are hidden or in locked regions.  This makes it very hard to clean up scans without deleting wanted points.

As this is a 2 year old thread, let's start fresh on yours. Can you start by telling me what version of ReCap you're currently running?
