Also, see if you can scale up the model when you export to PTS, or export in some other format.
It seems the scale is too low an ReCap clears out the points that are to close to each other. Less than 0mm distance

Surely Recap can handle a scan with points at a distance smaller than 1mm?
the decimation grid settings to were set to 5mm, I set it to 0mm & it looks like the density has vastly improved! Thanks!

ideally it would be nice to have this set to 0mm by default rather than 5mm.
as 5mm kills the density of the point cloud if its already been decimated when exported from the original scan software.
Yes, I can't really see any reason that 5 would be the default. i certainly would not be loking to lose any quality or density unless i have to.
Are there any other default settings which could be reducing the quality of my imports?
