Is there any way to manually type in an elevation for a elevation map step? Dragging the arrows seems pretty useless because elevation maps are typically only useful when you know what the step incriments are. Also, is there a way to change the total number of steps/colors?
Yes, click on the small icon on top of the elevation map and click on “edit current”
Double click on any numeric value to change the height limits.
In the same window you can insert the number of levels.
Screenshots attached.
Also, first I would update the origin on the floor so it appears as 0 in my elevation map.

OK, this tool seems very unintuitive. Cyclone is very clunky software, but in my opinion, the way that they handle elevation maps is much faster, easier, and more useful. Is it possible to display a legend of which color equates to which elevation?
Check the image attached.

Also here is one cool video explaining how to select exact points with specific height value:

Ok, how about a few dozen steps 4mm apart? To me, elevation maps are most useful for showing topograpy or floor levelness. For floor levelness, the steps need to be very close together and they makeup a small percentage of the overall elevation range of the entire scan.
