Autocad 2014 Recap keeps crashing

Hi,

I am tring to open a laser scan in Recap. Each time I try, Recap crashes. This also happens when I try to use the example project that comes with the software.

I am using a Lenovo Ideapad with an Intel Core i7 processor and an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 card.

Any ideas would be greatfully received.

Hi, thanks. No idea how much these things cost, but is a £200 budget sensible?

Hi Simon,

Normally, the faster and more RAM you card has the better.

Most important In order ReCap to work it has to be OpenGL 3.3 capable graphics card.

Best,

Mitko

I'm having the same issue. However I am using a machine with 24GB RAM and an AMD FirePro V7900 graphics card with 2GB memory and supports OpenGL 4.1.

As far as I can tell this should be more than enough to run Recap 2014, and yet I cant get past the launch project button without it crashing.

Very frustrating
