QuickCAD 6 Ellipse Problem

Just bought and installed QuickCAD 6.0 (Millennium Ed.)
for a Win98 PC.

Problem is when I try to draw an ellipse, as described on
page 46 of the "Getting Started Guide," I don't have the
"flyouts" for the circle button on the All-in-One toolbar.

Neither do I have an Ellipse selection in the Circle menu
under Draw pull down menu. I have flyouts for other buttons
on the toolbar, but not the circle one only. Does anybody
have any ideas about what's going on?

TIA,

R. John Keene

Some flyout menus do not become active if you choose the "Beginner" option
in the Start Up Menu when the program initially launches.

Select the "Advanced" option and you will have access to all possible menus,
flyouts & commands.

It would be interesting to know whether this rather stupid concept has been
retained in QuickCAD V7.

Yup, you still "get" to choose on startup which type of user you are on that
particular day. However, if you save make a shortcut to a drawing on your
desktop, QuickCAD will open to the mode you were working in when you created
the drawing.....at least it does for me. I MUST be an "expert". :-)

Thanks guys. I tried everything else but that. I thought,
'surely they wouldn't suppress that function under
the user level selection.'

Otherwise, the product is great for $30 (Canadian)
off the store shelf.
