OPEN, SAVE AS Info NEEDED ASAP

I really need to know the open and save as capabilities
of both QCAD 7 and 8 and Sketch 7 and 8.

I work in a commercial real estate company
and frequently get DWG files. I cannot use these
in creating the flyer, must have graphics format
such as TIF, JPG, BMP etc. Can't save as
in Volo.

I REALLY need to buy s/w soon that can open DWG
and save as what I want. Have contacted Autodesk
repeatedly, but hear nothing. I know this is a
simple thing! Help!

Ric's right, a PDF will be very sharp and can be manipulated in
Illustrator or PhotoShop.

As an alternative, you can try BetterWMF from http://www.furix.com. This
will temporarily
replace your Windows clipboard and allow you to strip out the background

color, select just the drawing entities and control the lineweight when
pasted from AutoCAD, AutoSketch or QuickCAD into another Windows program

like Word or the other page composition program you use to create your
flyer.

A .JPG or .BMP, you must remember, is purely a
screen capture.  What you see on screen is what you get.  You may get
away with it if you have a 19" monitor running a high res. but final results
will always be pixelated.  QuickCAD will not save as .TIFF.

Invest in Acrobat....print files to .PDF.  You
can open these in Photoshop and/or Illustrator which means most print/graphic
shops can deal with the image.  No pixelation
either.....beaudiful....!!!
