Autosketch files in QuickCAD

I am unable to open autosketch files in quickcad 7....... any ideas?

Yep...probably created in AutoSketch v9...!!! Ask the author to peg it back
a notch.

I believe he means that the original Autosketch
file should be saved back in a previous version
(like AS6) and then it can be opened in QC.

Turns out that later version of AS skf/qc files
are not always back-compatible with prior
versions. Riddle me that one!

thanks, I'll try that .......do you know if it would make any difference if I had QuickCAD 8?

Don't know. I would think it mimcks AS. So later
version would be more amenable to opening the
files you want.

Okay - Problem resolved - QuickCAD 7 seems to open AutoSketch files if they are saved as "Autosketch v7.0/v8.0" (although it brings up an error saying "Invalid Table Type"). Conversely it seems that AutoSketch can open files from QuickCAD 7 if they are saved as "AutoSketch".
