2 things - setting rectangle dimensions & aligning

I am a newbie to QuickCAD, rel 7. My previous drawing program was Canvas.
I have two questions:

After a rectangle is drawn, can I set the dimensions precisely without
trying to use those handles?

After several entities are drawn (rectangles, for example), how do I align
them ( either edges or midpoints)?

Bill,

Don't use the handles for dimensioning. Try using Snaps instead. Select the
dimension tool, type and snap each dimension point to the end or corner of
the rectangle.

About aligning.

In AutoSketch there is an Align tool for just this purpose. Check around in the
Help screen and see if you have one. If not, you should be able to use one of
the Transform tools, like Translate. That one is very useful, especially when
you use it with the Working Point.

Fiddle with those, and ask some specific questions.
