Quantities stay the same with different updated model

I have a model that I edited and used to do the take offs. I noticed that I did not use the right thickness on an object in the revit model that was imported. This resulted in an inaccurate take off. So I went to the revit model and corrected the thickness. I then reimported the model to retake off JUST the item that had changed. I select the item on the updated model from the model window and selcted "Take of item to". The volume however stayed the same as the original take off. I have tried a few other different ways of reimporting the model and taking it off but the end reslut is the same....the volume never changes. It appears the models are communicating. How can this be corrected?

Dear sta

I was able to reproduce the issue you described.  If you select the updated wall, and check its Design Properties in the properties window, the volume is correctly stated; however, the takeoff property still states the old value.  I've documented the issue and sent it to our development team for investigation.

I believe I found a workaround in that if you select the wall in Revit, and select Modify > Cut and then Select Modify > Paste > Aligned to same place, it creates a new instance of the wall that no longer links to that old instance where it is getting the incorrect value.  Could you give this a try and let me know if it allows a workaround for you?
