New to QTO - Help

I am trying to firgure out if QTO is more beneficial than taking revit info from a project and inputing into our excel template for estimating?  It seems QTO could be BUT for example for foundations... my excel has rows for placing concrete, formwork, testing, reinforcing steel, etc...  which I will have costs for.  This doesn't come in with the revit drawing so do I need to add all these items for every project I have?  It seems I should be able to either have a template to use in QTO OR be able to import this excel template?  Please advise.

I am looking into doing an offical Autodesk training program for QTO, but as of now I am teaching myself. 🙂

Thanks,

Garrett
