The software pops attached message when trying to import the csv file indicated in the help :

To import spreadsheet data:

1. Verify that the data is in a comma-separated format and saved as a CSV file.
   Tip

   You can use the sample CSV file installed with QTO as a catalog for your own data. For both Microsoft® Windows XP Professional users and Microsoft® Windows Vista users, the installed location is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2013\Samples\Sample Catalog.csv.

2. Click File menu Import Catalog.
3. In the Import Catalog dialog, navigate to the CSV file, and click Import.
