Custom tool window to open on start up?

Anyone know if this is possible in Mobu? I have my custom tools window and I would love it to open up on startup. it would also be nice if it stayed in the position it was when I last quit Mobu.

try adding the name of the script as a flag

motionbuilder.exe yourScriptName.py

It should run the script on startup.

• execute your script/gui

• dock your window where you like it

• update your layout

• Settings>Preferences>Python>PythonStartupFolder... browse to your scripts folder/location

• Restart

Hi,

I have my file in the startup folder and it runs fine (I put some prints in the code and they are displayed in the editor) but my UI doesn't show. Any idea?

fyi it wasn't working because I was using the default layout instead of a custom one 😛

I havent seen anyone pull this off yet, but thats not to say its not possible
