Wiring/linking python script slider to any 3ds max parameter

Hello everyone,
i'm using python based pugin called ePMV/autopack ,my problem is that the plugin updates fine in viewport but it doesnt allow to keyframe steps slider which regulates which frame of simulated sequence to load. So my first thought was to wire steps parameter to any keyable parameter in 3ds max but i can't find out how.I'm using 3ds max 2014 extension. P.S any ideas how animation could be rendered out would be great becouse only other option is to use blender it's a great tool but i'm really not fond of it.
