Randomly Rotated Plotting Issues

Hello Everybody,

I have a user here that is having issues printing pdfs, and for the life of me I can't figure it out. When batch plotting out of AutoCAD only one of his drawings will rotate to be orientated portrait instead of landscape. He's using the same print settings on all the drawings.

Additional things I have ruled out:

This problem only occurs on his computer (cannot be replicated).

Only occurs when printing to PDF

Does not matter if printing to Adobe or Bluebeam.

Any Suggestions?!!?

Thanks!

What are the PAGESETUP settings for this one?
And how does it compare to the others?

Often that's the issue.

We have a few automation settings that do a few things:

  • We purge all pagesetups on every save. (So all of our page setups currently are identical.)
  • Using - built in publish, DWG to PDF pc3 (we aren't printing to adobe or bluebeam, that's just what's opening. They both do have print drivers, but we aren't using them), and page setup is being imported.
  • This only happens on one computer and only happens to the first page of the set (not matter what order they are in numerically)

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

"...This only happens on one computer..."
The one PC has a different or unique set of pagesetups most likely. Recreating their AutoCAD profile to match others may be one quick fix.

This one computer uses the standard corporate profile. That profile has been reset, repeatedly. And it doesn't have it's own page setups - this happens using the shared page setups that the whole company is using because all of our page setups are purged on save.

Behavior has been observed while plotting the exact same set of sheets, and importing the exact same page setup from the same network share. Page setup is irrelevant because it always happens on the first sheet - no matter what order the same set of sheets is printed in.

So if you load a 'dummy' layout as the first sheet, to be discraded, the problem goes away?
Or does the user load up a template file as the first sheet to set pagesetups?

Basics of troubleshooting as you know: if one user and only one user cannot match everyone else, it's either the user's workflow or setup that is 'broken'.
You may need more than just remote assistance.
