PDF Creation - what works best?

Has anyone had success with PDF creation using the latest Acrobat 8.0 software? ie. did they enable "merge control" in this version?

Otherwise which utility works better Bluebeam of AcroPlot? I've found that BlueBeam is inconsistant with sheet rotation...

We have had good luck with Acroplot.
We have not used the other two that you mention.

Adobe somewhat enabled lines merge but I can't remember what all you have to
do to make it work right. I think it only works from modelspace and not
paperspace or something weird like that. And what they did is wrong because
instead of a transparency setting they put a screening on the lines so the
colors even where they do not overlap come out lighter then they should.
