HP designjet 800 setup

how can i set up my computer to be connected to a network plotter? our IT
guy quit last week and didin't even bother to setup my computer, so i guess
its up to me to figure it out now....oh well... I tried going to the printer
folder and add new printer, but from there, i have no idea. tnx in advance.
The plotter is an HP designjet 800.

HP's website, download the driver you need, install it in Windows, glance
over at the machine sitting next to you to figure out how the plotter port
is selected and how AutoCAD is setup to plot to it, and emulate it if
possible.

It really depends on how it is setup: so you have any more details if the
above does not work?
