We are a civil firm that plots mainly in monochrome. Ocassionally, we need
to plot in color. How is everyone handling this. DO you set up a color.pc3
file and a mono pc3 file?

I've got a Calcomp 720c and when I plot in colour I have to change my ink
cartridge. Having two printer plot style files works best for me

Two print/plot styles, one color the other monochrome is how we do it.

When you say styles, do you mean pc3 or ctb?

Perhaps both, depending on your plotter drivers. You will certainly need to
create two distinct CTB's, one with color settings, the other in grayscale.
Most HP plotters allow you to set the color as "Automatic", however you may
need to create PC3's that have the color settings you need.
