AutoCAD 2012 won't plot to pdf - fails first time, every time - Please Help!

I have Autocad 2012 MEP, every time I plot to pdf, it takes a long time and then it fails.  I do it again and sometimes it works the 2nd time, but it still takes a very long time.  It used to plot to pdf instantaneously, not sure what happened to cause the failures every time now. 

Attached is the 'cancel' window that pops up every time I plot to pdf the first time.  This never happened before.  Anybody know what's causing this?

Hi,

Are you using Adobe PDF to print? If so, try DWG to PDF instead, usually helps with slow plotting to pdf.

Hi geraldmdc, the reason of failure can be heavy file size or you are using too many objects within the file. That’s why plot to pdf is taking so much time. You can use CutePDF software for doing this job. It is free software.
