Hello Autodesk Community,
This is my first post on these forums but I have been a reader for some time.
My company just recently purchased a 7700 KIP plotter. The issue that I am having with the plotter is that the current company CTB file does not print correctly. Let me explain.
When I select print preview and review my plot before sending it to the plotter I notice that all of my lineweights are shown correctly, shaded, line weights, etc. From my screen to the plotter something happens and the colors print out wrong. For example, the CTB file is set up so that color 74 prints out 0.010 inches with a 75% screen to it, on screen it looks correct, when printed to the KIP the color is solid or 100% screen. In playing with the CTB file in order to get the color to print out correctly I need to apply a 50% screen to it.
Adjusting the CTB file so the colors print out correct doesn't seem like a good idea, since you lose functionality of being able to screen from 100 to 50%.
So my question is how do I fix this problem? I know the issue is not the CTB file but don't know where to go looking from there.
Any help on this matter would be a big help.
Thank you,
Hi,
KIP Plotters are very picky about the software driver. Verify that you have the latest driver for your version of AutoCAD. Let us know if that helped.
