How do you reprogram middle button on a Microsoft Mouse 4000 to pan

Just recently bought a Microsoft Mouse 4000.  Trying to reprogram the Middle scroll button to pan and to zomm in autocad.  Please help.

Mouse driver controls mouse buttons: so what do you have the middle button set to in the mouse driver? Try a few, and search around the forum where you are posting for ideas, this is not a new topic, you just need to find the setting that works with your mouse driver.
Then in AutoCAD, ensure MBUTTONPAN is set to 1.
