Use escalation to run script at fixed intervals

It could be handy if the escalation feature in the workflow can be used to run a script at fixed interval.

For example, send a weekly status report.

This could be as simple as just adding a checkbox in the escalation dialog to select 'REPEAT'. Then the escalation script will run every 'n' days.

Also, script run frequency could be reduced if the next run date could be selected based on a FIELD value (type DATE).

If there is a way to do this already, i.e. run scripts at fixed interval, please let me know.
