Yes/No Picklist set to show No by default, still only shows --Select--

Any ideas on why when this Picklist is set to show 'No' by default that it isn't doing it ?  I have definitely hit 'Save Layout'; they are assigned fields; and I have hit Shift + F5 at the front end, so I'm running out of ideas !

Thanks,

Fiona

Hi,

If you create a new record, the Yes- No PickList default field will be saved with the value “No”.  If you go to an existing record the value of that field has not been saved yet so it will remain “ –Select” until a value has been chosen.

Hope that helps.

Ah, Ok, yes that explains it.

Thanks John.
