validation of workflow action comment

Is it possible to implement validation of what is put in to the workflow action comment field?

Not just that a comment was made, but a more complex regex.

We don't, but good idea.  Would be nice to have it similar to how we have the minimum length validator for fields.  I went ahead and created an idea in the IdeaStation for this:

If you could go kudo, that would be great.  Feel free to add more comments as well if I didn't capture it all.

Presently its not possible - comments are used for ...well, commenting. ))  You could setup a field on Item Details with necessary field validators including regex, and even employ a WF transition condition script to check for additional criteria if our validators don't cover all of your needs. A condition script would not only prevent the WF Transition to complete when the script validations fail, you may guide the user with custom message of what is missing and where to ensure all is square before trying WF action again.  For example, see this page. http://help.autodesk.com/view/PLM/ENU/?guid=GUID-362E481D-19F1-413F-B73C-8115E6E604F0
