Types of Relationships?

What is the purpose of the "Type of Relationship" field on the Relationships tab?  It's always a drop-down but there's never anything else to choose.  Does it ever say anything other than "Cross-Reference"?  Can it be customized?  Can it be hidden?

I'm also going to add an entry to the Idea Station that most of the fields in the Workflow tab would also be helpful in the Relationships tab, such as Last Action, Date of Last Action, Performed By, Created On, Created By, etc...  I guess we just need the Relationships tab to have configurable columns.

Hi Joe,

For all practical purposes you are correct that the relationship type is not very meaningful. We do expect to change it in the future to make it more customizable. However, if you have specific suggestions it will be great to have them on Idea Station as you've noted.
