Shortcut for adding items to a CO

Is there a short-cut for adding Affected Items to a CO.

I have a initial release of a product including 3 levels of BOM and 200+ previously unreleased items.

Do I have to add them to the change order at the time, or is there a smarter way. Seems a little tedious.

Hello Sten,

At the moment there isn't another way to do it.

Please post this feature request to the PLM360 IdeaStation. Your post will put you in direct contact with Product Managers and the PLM 360 Development team. They will evaluate your request to potentially be implemented in a future release.

Best regards,

I recently went through the exercise of releasing 1,500 unreleased items.  That meant adding them all to the affected items tab of a CO.  I ran into major trouble when I tried to do anything more than 200 items on a single affected item tab.  I don't want anyone to have to go through what I did so I recommend against managing more than 200 on a single revisioning record.  Maybe it was just me, but that's my two cents.  Maybe the PLM support folks will comment...

For what it's worth, I've been using a program called DataLoad which makes the process of updating fields on the Affected Items tab much easier. That's after the items have been selected and added manually.

Thank you for the hint. I am a strong proponent of automating such tasks and will gladly trade in a few hours to get up to speed on a new tool versus having to do in manually. I took a quick look at DataLoad.

Is that the free or commercial version you are using?

We have a Professional license for version 5. Looks like "Browser Control" may not be available to the Classic mode? You should download it and try anyway. The Browser Control functionality may just give you added control over the dataloading process.

I wonder if there are any other programs out there that do this type of thing? We use DataLoad for Oracle so the browser loading is an added bonus for us.

I have added a posting on Ideastation in regards to this.
